wviertaken and carried through with amazing onergy by the Hon. Mr%
J.P.Braza, who also attended to a large amount of the secretarial
work, 1.0., that connected with the details of organisation, It
nhould be said here that Mr. Braga is not so much an incivicual as
an organisation, Two sons, Mr. H, Braga and Mr. A., Braja, helped
him daily far into the night, only this could the mount of week
put through have been sccomplished.
General secretarial work, indading acting mo liaison with
the mombers of the organisắng Ommittee, proved to be a full-time
task for the lion, Seeretary and one typist for a period of shout
six weeks; before that for three monthe it occupied an hour or two
daily. the Hon, "ecretary also wrote as many articles in the way
of publicity as there was time for. The local newspapers, all the
uropean dailies, the European Sunday paper and four chinece, gave
free advertising space and Major Brazier Creagh (late of the Empire
Marketing Board) wrote the advertisements which occupied this space,
This assistance was of great value as it was impossible for an
asateur in advertisement writing, harassed by the octimal ring
of the telephone bell, to write effective advertisements and thus
nake aŋoquate use of the space afforded,
Some devolution of work was found possible, Major uolos
